Ryan Feierabend has been placed on the 60-day DL by the Mariners following Tommy John surgery, according to the Seattle Times.

Our View:He is done for the season, and the lefty should be scratched from cheatsheets.

Ryan Feierabend will undergo elbow surgery after an MRI displayed some ligament damage, according to the Seattle Times.

Our View:He was not expected to win a rotation spot or a significant role in the bullpen, and did not hold much fantasy value prior to this news.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports that Ryan Feierabend isn't feeling up to par and he's been scratched from his start in the final game of the year Sunday against the Athletics. Taking his place for the Game 162 wrap-up will be veteran R.A. Dickey. Riggleman said he likes what he's seen from Feierabend looking toward next year and he said Feierabend would have to get a good long look in spring training.

Our View:"I don't think the numbers are indicative of the way he's pitched," Riggleman said of Feierabend, who was 1-4 with a 7.71 ERA in eight starts. He had two quality starts of at least seven innings and a third start in which he went five innings and gave up just one run. Fantasy owners shouldn't have as much confidence in Feierabend as his manager.

It took the Texas Rangers just 5.2 innings to record 11 hits and score five times off of pitcher Ryan Feierabend in the Mariners 6-4 loss on Tuesday.

Our View:Feierabend hadn't been too bad in his last two starts, but that certainly wasn't going to last. He is not someone to consider for fantasy purposes, and few players in a Mariners uniform are.

They may have posted five runs but the Mariners failed to get the win, falling 6-5 to Minnesota to waste a respectable outing from LHP Ryan Feierabend. Feierabend pitched seven innings, allowing three runs (all earned) on eight hits with two walks and four strikeouts.

Our View:Feierabend walked out of the park with no decision, leaving him at 0-1 over three starts since joining the major league roster. He has walked just three hitters over the course of 15 combined innings, touting 10 strikeouts and one home run surrendered along the way.
