Player Notes
August 23, 2008
Martin Prado had a nice day for the Braves Saturday, picking up three hits while driving in two runs and scoring two.

Our View:Prado has been hitting well of late. He started at first today and is likely eligible at multiple positions in your league.
August 8, 2008
Martin Prado, making a rare start on Friday night, had three hits and three RBI for the Braves.

Our View:Prado is batting .310 in limited action this season (84 AB), and has seven hits in his last 11 AB (.636).
July 4, 2008
Martin Prado was activated from the disabled list, and went 0-for-3 yesterday against the Phillies, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:In three at-bats, Prado's average dropped 20 points. He is not a viable option for fantasy teams right now, but he has good plate discipline and the offensive potential is there, so keep your eye on him.

MLB.com reports that Martin Prado will play six games at Triple-A beginning on Thursday, and then likely be called back up to the Braves. He has been on the disabled list since May 5 with a badly sprained left thumb. "That kid has really worked his tail off to get back," Cox said of Prado, who hit .282 in 18 games before being injured.

Our View:The Braves can't get him up fast enough. With Yunel Escobar, Omar Infante and Chipper Jones all on the mend, they are becoming desperate for another infielder.

Martin Prado could also begin a rehab assignment this weekend, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Prado has missed six weeks while recovering from a partially tore a left thumb ligament.

Our View:Prado could be ready around the All-Star break, but he'll probably stay at Triple-A.
