Travis Buck is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Sacramento by the A's, according to MLB.com.

Our View:He is also expected to be in uniform at some point for tonight's game against the Rays. He holds a poor .235 batting average this season, but hit three homers over 28 games. He could be a decent source for power in deeper leagues if you can deal with his low batting average.

Travis Buck was activated from the DL on Sunday but was optioned to Triple-A, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Jack Cust will continue to start in right field and Chris Denotfia remains on the roster to provide a right-handed bat off the bench.

Our View:Buck has been out since May 29 with a strained oblique. He is hitting only .235 on the season, but hit home runs in each of his last two games. There's a good chance that Buck is back up with Oakland later this season.

The San Jose Mercury News is reporting that A's outfielder Travis Buck is set to begin a rehab assignment in Triple-A Sacramento on Monday. Buck has been on the DL since May 30 with a strained left oblique.

Our View:Assuming all things go well during his time in Triple-A, expect Buck to return to the A's lineup very soon. Buck has been a bit disappointing this season, and his fantasy value is slim at best. No one should be rushing out to pick him up upon his return.
May 30, 2009
Travis Buck has been placed on the 15-day DL with a strained left oblique muscle, according to the Associated Press. The club recalled outfielder Aaron Cunningham from Triple-A Sacramento to provide depth while Buck is out.

Our View:Buck is only hitting .235 with three homers and nine RBI this season, and should not hurt fantasy teams while on the shelf.
May 18, 2009
Travis Buck has been playing with a sore left shoulder, but does not believe the ailment is a major problem, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Our View:Buck only has two hits over his last 11 at-bats, and is hitting .206 for the season. He does not hold much fantasy value right now.
