Player Notes
July 1, 2008
Alex Gordon went 2-for-5 with a solo homer in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Orioles.

Our View:That was his third homer over his last seven games, while collecting nine RBI over the span. He is worth penciling into your fantasy lineups while he is hot.
June 27, 2008
Alex Gordon went 2-for-4 with four RBI in Friday's 7-2 win over the Cardinals in Kansas City. He hit a double and a solo homer.

Our View:Gordon has now homered in two of his last three games, and has registered an RBI in four of his last five.
June 27, 2008
While several KC players are hitting their stride, sophomore third baseman Alex Gordon is slumping. Gordon is hitting just .217 in the last 28 games and has just three hits in his last 22 at-bats.

Our View:Jose Guillen (.350) David DeJesus (.364) and Mike Aviles (.333) are carrying the team offensively.
June 18, 2008
The Royals and Cardinals battled it out for the title of Show Me State this evening, but Kansas City emerged 3-2 with the help of third baseman Alex Gordon . Gordon went 2-for-4 with his 18th double and his eighth homer of the season to total one RBI and two runs scored on the night.

Our View:Gordon is struggling to get going at the plate this month, hitting just .224 through June. However, he has already matched the two homers he hit in May and is just four RBIs shy of his monthly total for that same span.
June 12, 2008
Alex Gordon had two hits, including his seventh home run of the season, and knocked in two runs while scoring twice for the Royals.

Our View:Gordon has hits in four of the last five games including two home runs in three nights. Still, he is barely on pace for 20 homers, and hit .267 batting average has to be considered disappointing. The talent is there, but it certainly is taking longer to show itself than many predicted.
