The AP reports that the Orioles have recalled reliever Matt Albers to replace Adam Eaton on their roster.

Our View:Albers was a solid option out of the pen last season, but he struggled in his first eight appearances this season. In 2009, he currently holds a 7.71 ERA and 2.36 WHIP.

Matt Albers has been optioned to Triple-A Norfolk, according to TSN.

Our View:Melvin Mora has been activated from the DL, and the Orioles demoted Albers to make room on the roster. Albers struggled this season, as he allowed eight earned runs and six walks over 9.1 innings of relief.

Just a few days after being sent to Triple-A, Matt Albers has be recalled by the Baltimore Orioles, according to the Baltimore Sun. He will replace Melvin Mora, who was placed on the DL with a strained left hamstring.

Our View:Albers is not much of a fantasy impact player, but he could find himself in the rotation if guys like Adam Eaton continue to struggle. His value would only slightly increase if that happens.

Matt Albers has been optioned to Triple-A Norfolk by the Orioles, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View:The club needed to make room for Adam Eaton, who will be activated today and will start against the Rays (2-3). The club could have moved Brian Bass, but he is out of minor league options. Albers gave up four hits and one earned run over 2.2 innings of work with Baltimore prior to his demotion.

The Orioles will have to cut someone when they bring up Adam Eaton to start Saturday, and the most likely candidates appear to be Matt Albers and Brian Bass.

Our View:Albers is one of the most talented arms on the team's roster, but he is also one of the very few that has options left. Bass is out of options and would have to go through waivers.
