Player Notes
August 14, 2008
Zach Jackson hurled a pretty good game in his team's 11-6 loss to the Orioles. Jackson went five innings and allowed three runs on eight hits.

Our View:Jackson wasn't bad, but he certainly was not great. Fantasy owners should probably let him be, barring a sudden hot streak.

Zach Jackson has been recalled from Triple-A Buffalo, according to the AP. He will take the roster spot left open by Paul Byrd's departure to Boston.

Our View:The 25-year-old lefty went 3-1 with a 4.05 ERA in four starts and four relief appearances at Buffalo. He allowed two earned runs and five hits over 3.2 innings with the Indians, with one strikeout. He is slated to start Thursday in the rotation in place of Byrd. Jackson only merits fantasy consideration in deeper AL-only leagues.

Lefty Zach Jackson has been sent to Triple-A Nashville, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The team needed to make room for fellow reliever Juilan Tavarez, who was activated.

Our View:Brian Shouse is now the only lefty in the Brewers' pen. Jackson held no fantasy value, as he allowed two runs and five hits over 3.2 innings this season.

The Brewers recalled Zach Jackson from Triple-A Nashville Friday.

Our View:Jackson struggled while starting for the Sounds, but he's been good since moving to the bullpen. He won't hold any fantasy value, however.

The Brewers sent Zach Jackson to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday to make room for Tomo Ohka, who was Tuesday's starter, according to the AP. Jackson was 2-2 with a 5.40 ERA in eight games, including seven starts, for Milwaukee.
