Player Notes

The Indians have traded Zach Jackson to the Blue Jays for a player to be named later, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:Jackson is a former first-round pick by Toronto from 2004. He spent most of last season at Triple-A Columbus where he went a paltry 4-8 with a 6.05 ERA. He'll have to show improvement if he wants a chance at cracking the Blue Jays' roster.

Zach Jackson was sent back down to Triple-A Columbus after getting rocked for seven runs (six earned) over a mere four innings in Wednesday's start against the Rays, according to TSN. Tomo Ohka has been recalled from the minors as the adjoining move.

Our View:He allowed nine earned runs and four walks over 8.2 innings of work with Cleveland this season, and is not worth holding in fantasy leagues while shipped back to Triple-A.

Zach Jackson got roughed up by the Rays on Wednesday, but his offense bailed him out as the Indians won the game 12-7. Jackson went four innings and allowed seven runs (six earned) on eight hits while walking four and striking out four.

Our View:Jackson was far from impressive in his start tonight, and it is likely that he will not last long in the majors if he keeps pitching like this. He is not a fantasy option at this point, and it is unlikely he turns it around enough to garner any fantasy interest going forward.

Zach Jackson has been recalled by the Indians from Triple-A Columbus, according to TSN. The team sent down pitcher Rich Rundles as the adjoining move.

Our View:Jackson was promoted to start Wednesday's game against the Rays. He holds a career 5.51 ERA in the majors, and is only worth a look for deeper fantasy leagues.

MLBlogs.com is reporting that Zach Jackson could be called up to start Wednesday's game for the Indians.

Our View:Jackson's next scheduled start in Triple-A was supposed to be tonight, but the team is going with a bullpen start. This indicates that Jackson could be starting tomorrow for the Indians. Stay tuned for an update.
