Santiago Casilla has been activated from the 15-day DL following his recovery from a sprained right knee, according to TSN. Pitcher Jeff Gray was sent to Triple-A Sacramento as the adjoining move.

Our View:Casilla is a rock-solid reliever, but only holds value in leagues that feature middle men.

Santiago Casilla (sprained knee) will be activated from the DL Friday after throwing nine pitches in a perfect inning with Triple-A Sacramento Tuesday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Our View:Casilla is a solid reliever, but issued six walks over 11.1 innings of work prior to going down. Hopefully his control will be fine upon his return.

Santiago Casilla said that his knee is feeling better and that he will throw a bullpen session on Tuesday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Our View:Casilla, out with a strained ligament in his knee, is hopeful of returning in short order to the A's bullpen, a place where he has excelled in the early going with a 1.59 ERA and a 0.79 WHIP in nine appearances. For those in the mood for speculation, he could be a nice stash option as a potential source of saves later in the year.
