Jeff Niemann struck out six Tigers in just 3.2 innings of work on Sunday.

Our View:His spring ERA is now a tidy 2.79. He very much appears to be building on his breakout 2009 season this preseason, and is a solid late round pick for all formats.

Jeff Niemann won his 13th game of the season with a five-inning, two-run performance against the Yankees on Saturday. He held the Bombers to six hits and a walk and fanned five in the 5-3 win.

Our View:Niemann was putting together an impressive rookie campaign before falling apart his last three starts. It's nice to see him get back on the winning track, but the ROY has likely slipped though his fingers.

Our View:Niemann had a tough outing, and is lucky the Rays scored enough runs for him to take a no-decision. He is winless over his last six starts.

Our View:Niemann fell off track after allowing two or less earned runs in each of his previous three starts. He still leads the Rays with 12 wins and a 3.80 ERA, and should be able to bounce back fine.
