Ian Kinsler is progressing well in his recovery from a high-ankle sprain, according to ESPN Dallas. He wanted to throw today, to keep his arm strength up.

Our View:Kinsler is also walking briskly, and is getting better every day. There is no timetable for his return to the diamond, but Kinsler is looking at a seven-day window.

Ian Kinsler will miss the Rangers' next week of spring action after spraining his ankle on Friday, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Our View:That's a tad longer than originally thought, so it must be a fairly severe sprain. While Kinsler's fantasy value is undeniably huge, he is not without questions after a dreadful (by his standards) second half to the 2009 season. He might be best to avoid until the middle rounds of your draft.

Ian Kinsler was scratched from the Rangers' lineup today after rolling his ankle in pre-game drills, according to the Forth Worth Star-Telegram's Anthony Andro.

Our View:The injury does not appear to be serious, and you can expect Kinsler within the next few days. Kinsler's somewhat brittle nature is a factor to keep in mind on draft day, though today's ankle injury should not deter you from drafting him.
November 4, 2009
According to the Dallas Morning News, the Rangers are expected to hire former Rockies manager Clint Hurdle as the organization's new hitting coach.

Our View:With incumbent Rudy Jaramillo bolting for a three-year deal with the Cubs, the Rangers seem to have settled on Hurdle. He appears to be the top candidate out of a group that included Thad Bosley, Rusty Greer and Gerald Perry.
October 14, 2009
After 15 seasons as the team's hitting coach, Rudy Jaramillo will not be returning to the Rangers in 2010, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Our View:Let the frenzy for his services begin. The Mets are the most obvious candidate, but will surely face very stiff competition for the unquestioned best hitting coach in baseball.
