The Yankees reached a four-year, $20 million deal with Kei Igawa Monday, according to Newsday. The Yanks also paid a $26 million posting fee for the lefty. Igawa figures to slide into the back of the team's rotation.

The Yankees hope to have Japanese left-hander Kei Igawa checked out by team doctors before Christmas, according to the New York Daily News. It's believed that the Yanks and Iqawa were closing in over the weekend on a five-year deal worth $20 million.

The Yankees won the bidding rights to Japanese lefty Kei Igawa, according to ESPN. Assuming they are able to sign him, Igawa will compete for a spot in their rotation next season. Igawa posted a 2.97 ERA last season and tied for the Central League lead in strikeouts.
