Kei Igawa cleared waivers and was sent to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Igawa has only pitched in two big league games this year, and he has given up six runs and 13 hits in just four innings. He continues to be a bust.

Kei Igawa has been recalled from Triple-A Scranton, according to the AP. The team optioned Ross Ohlendorf to Scranton as an adjoining move.

Our View:Igawa won't hold much fantasy value while fighting for playing time out of the Yankees' pen. He allowed six runs and 11 hits over three innings in his previous stint with the club this season.

Kei Igawa has been sent down to Triple-A, according to CBSsports.com. Ian Kennedy was recalled to make a start tonight, and saw Igawa as being expendable to free up a roster spot.

Our View:Igawa surrendered six runs and 11 hits over a mere three innings of work this season, with no strikeouts. He held no fantasy value prior to his demotion.

The New York Post reports that Kei Igawa is one and done for the New York Yankees. A reported Monday noted that Ian Kennedy - not Igawa - will start Friday in the opener of the “Subway Series” against the New York Mets. The team would not confirm the report.

Our View:With Phillip Hughes on the disabled list and Kennedy in the minor leagues, the Yakees gave their disppointing left hander (Igawa) another shot. Kennedy, sent to Triple-A Scranton after posting an 0-2 record with an 8.37 ERA in five starts with the parent club is expected to return and start Friday versus the Mets.

Due to Sunday's rainout, the Yankees may be able to skip Kei Igawa's next scheduled start. The problem is that Ian Kennedy was supposed to work a Triple-A on Sunday, but his outing was also washed away, Newsday explains. At the moment, Igawa is still listed as a starter for either Thursday or Friday.

Our View:Fantasy owners should be ignoring Igawa after his awful start on Friday. It sounds like the Yankees can't wait to get rid of him.
