Our View:Igawa surrendered six runs and 11 hits over a mere three innings of work this season, with no strikeouts. He held no fantasy value prior to his demotion.
May 12, 2008 The New York Post reports that Kei Igawa is one and done for the New York Yankees.
A reported Monday noted that Ian Kennedy - not Igawa - will start Friday in the opener of the “Subway Series” against the New York Mets.
The team would not confirm the report.
Our View:With Phillip Hughes on the disabled list and Kennedy in the minor leagues, the Yakees gave their disppointing left hander (Igawa) another shot. Kennedy, sent to Triple-A Scranton after posting an 0-2 record with an 8.37 ERA in five starts with the parent club is expected to return and start Friday versus the Mets.

Our View:Fantasy owners should be ignoring Igawa after his awful start on Friday. It sounds like the Yankees can't wait to get rid of him.
