Manager Bob Geren said Huston Street was a game-time decision for last night's loss to the Yankees due to the closer's wonky groin. Street wasn't needed Tuesday, but he is likely to be a game-time decision again tonight, according to MLB.com. A team source said Street has been dealing with the ailment since June 1.

Our View:If Street is unable to go, Alan Embree or Keith Foulke would likely get the save chance, since both Santiago Casilla and Joey Devine are on the DL.

Huston Street's pitching velocity was down during action on Sunday as he was bothered by a groin injury, according to the SF Chronicle. He heavily iced the ailment, but still walked with a limp following the game. He said, "Hopefully, I'll wake up Monday better. Geren was concerned for my sake, because I could compensate and hurt my arm, but I know I can still get guys out and be effective."

Our View:He was unsteady on the mound, but still left the ninth inning scoreless. His fastball normally hit 89-93 mph, but was down to 85 on Sunday. Street doesn't believe the ailment is serious, but the team is yet to decide if a trip to the DL is in order.

It's been a while since Huston Street received face time, in the news, and on the pitching mound. Street earned his 10th and 11th saves this past weekend, both against the World Champion Boston Red Sox.

Our View:Street recorded eight saves in April but has had only four chances in May; two of those coming in the last three days.
