Player Notes
September 28, 2008
Scott Baker finished off a very good season with seven innings of shutout pitching in a must-win game against the Royals. He struck nine batters and allowed just five baserunners in the 6-0 victory.

Our View:Baker started 28 games for the Twins and only lost four times. Although his numbers are not particularly gaudy, he was very consistent. He did not have an ERA over 4.00 in any month but April. He finishes the regular season with a 3.45 mark.
September 23, 2008
Scott Baker threw seven innings, allowing just one run to the White Sox, as the Twins got the victory, 9-3.

Our View:Baker picks up his 10th win in this crucial game, seeing his ERA drop to 3.59.
September 16, 2008
Scott Baker is confident he will be able to successfully pitch on three days rest according to MLB.com. "I feel like I condition myself enough," Baker said. "Only one start this season I really ever felt fatigued and that was in Boston, when it was humid and muggy. Otherwise, I condition myself to throw more pitches than they'll ever allow me to throw. So I don't know. Maybe I'll feel tired, maybe I won't. We'll have to see."

Our View:Baker has been very good in 25 starts this year and matches up against Cleveland on Wednesday. In his one start against Cleveland this season he gave up three runs in five innings.
September 14, 2008
The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports Baker will likely pitched Wednesday on three day's rest.

Our View:He has a favorable start at Cleveland.
September 13, 2008
Scott Baker only allowed one earned run on four hits over six innings in Saturday's 12-2 win over Baltimore, with three walks and four strikeouts.

Our View:Baker claimed his ninth win of the season, and has allowed one earned run in three of his last five outings. He shall remain active in mixed-leagues.
