Our View:The 29-year-old was not expected to earn a spot in the Royals' bullpen. He will provide depth in the minors.

Lenny DiNardo has been optioned to Triple-A Sacramento, according to the SF Chronicle. Rookie Dan Meyer was recalled as the adjoining move.
