Jeff Salazar has been recalled from Triple-A Tucson, according to the AP.

Our View:The outfielder is not worth fantasy consideration, as he only hit .202 with two homers over 99 at-bats with Arizona this season.

Jeff Salazar has been designated for assignment by Arizona, according to the AP. The team recalled outfielder Alex Romero from Triple-A.

Our View:Salazar held little to no fantasy value prior to his designation, as he was only hitting .202 over 99 at-bats, with two homers and 10 RBI.

Jeff Salazar got a rare start on Sunday and went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI against the Rockies. He gave center fielder Chris Young a day to rest, at least until the starter was called upon to pinch-hit.

Our View:Salazar is decent with the stick and can play all three outfield positions, which mean he's likely to get 100 or so at-bats throughout the year. There's not much fantasy value here.

Jeff Salazar collected a pinch hit home run on Monday, and now all three of his career homers have come on pinch hits, according to the East Valley Tribune. Salazar stated, "I don’t know if I want to continue that trend or not. They are obviously exciting. It is obviously a situation where a team needs you to put together a quality at-bat." He helped lead Arizona to a 4-2 win over Cincinnati.
