Player Notes
September 19, 2008
Felix Hernandez tossed a complete game (eight innings) but got stuck with a loss on Friday as the Mariners fell to the A's 2-0. He struck out eight in the process.

Our View:King Felix and his owners continue to experience bad luck similar to Jake Peavy's. However, he had some pretty poor outings prior to this one. He's won just two games since July 19th.
September 14, 2008
Felix Hernandez pitched another solid game on Sunday holing the Angels to three runs over seven innings but he is still stuck on nine victories as he had to settle for a no-decision.

Our View:King Felix sports a 3.42 ERA and a solid 7.86 K/9 mark, but with the often anemic offense behind him, Hernandez simply hasn't been able to produce the "W's" despite a solid overall campaign.
September 10, 2008
Felix Hernandez served up six hits and six runs over 4.1 innings against the Rangers on Tuesday. He walked four, struck out three, tossed a wild pitch, and hit three batters.

Our View:Either King Felix really doesn't like the Rangers hitters or he didn't have his best stuff tonight. His control has been a bit of an issue over the second half, and we hope it's only a sign of a youngster waiting for a lost season to be over.
September 3, 2008
Felix Hernandez only allowed one earned run on seven hits over 7.1 innings in Wednesday's 1-0 loss to the Rangers, with one walk and three strikeouts.

Our View:Hernandez pitched very well, but was ultimately dealt his ninth loss of the season due to no run support from Seattle's hitters. Hernandez has allowed two or less earned runs in four of his last seven starts, yet he only has one win over the span.
August 29, 2008
Felix Hernandez allowed two earned runs on six hits over six innings in Friday's 3-2 victory over the Indians at Progressive Field, with four walks and seven strikeouts.

Our View:Hernandez improves to 9-8 and closed out August with back-to-back wins after going winless in his previous four outings in the month.
