Player Notes
June 29, 2008
Carlos Quentin hit a solo homer in Sunday night's win over the Cubs. It was his second straight game with a long ball, and he is tied with Josh Hamilton for the AL lead with 19 home runs.

Our View:Quentin's production has dropped off a little bit in June, but fantasy owners can hardly complain. When people drafted Quentin, they probably were only expecting 19 homers for the entire season.
June 28, 2008
Carlos Quentin hit the go-ahead home run leading off the bottom of the seventh Saturday helping the White Sox made it two straight over the Cubs with a 6-5 victory. The home run was Quentin's 18th of the season.

Our View:Quentin behind in the count, 0-2, when Carlos Marmol threw a fastball over the outside of the plate allowing Quentin to literally punch the ball into the right field bullpen.
June 27, 2008
Carlos Quentin went 4-for-5 with a pair of RBI in Friday's 10-3 bashing of the Cubs at US Cellular Field. He had one double and three singles.

Our View:That was his fourth multi-hit game over his last nine, but he only has one homer and four RBI over the span.
June 18, 2008
Carlos Quentin hit his 17th home run and the Chicago White Sox scored an 8-2 rout of the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday night.

Our View:Quentin, in a mini slump went 2-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored in the win.

Carlos Quentin has been named the Clutch Performer of May by fans in an online vote (presented by Pepsi), according to MLB.com.

Our View:In 29 games in May, Quentin hit .290 (31-for-107) with seven homers and 27 RBI, with five doubles and 15 runs scored. He also hit his first career grand slam against the Angels on May 15. Quentin has proven to be among the best acquisitions of the off-season.
