The Chicago Tribune reports that Carlos Quentin underwent successful surgery to remove a pin from his wrist and visited a foot doctor to re-examine his ailing left foot.

Our View:The doctor found no abnormalities and Quentin was cleared to proceed with his offseason conditioning. He will begin swinging a bat in 30 days and looks to be 100 percent healthy at the start of spring training. With all Quentin's ailments behind him, expect him to have a season more like 2008 that the disappointing showing he had this year.

Carlos Quentin double and homered in the White Sox 5-1 win over the Tigers on Saturday.

Our View:Quentin was 2-for-3 on the day and also scored two runs and stole his third base of the season. His injuries must have finally subsided because the slugger has homers in back to back games and four in his last five contests.
