Eric Duncan hit his first two home runs of the season for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.

Our View:There’s a blast from the past. The former first-round pick was one of the most highly regarded third base prospects in the game at one time, but he has never hit in the upper minors. He is off to another slow start this season hitting just .235, but he is still only 23-years-old.

"I just have to do a good job taking care of it the next couple of years," he said. Duncan, who is on the DL at Double-A, is holding out hope that he'll be able to return this season.

Eric Duncan hit his fourth home run in three games on Tuesday, and he has hit .286 with 10 homers since he was demoted to Double-A nearly two months ago, according to Newsday. Duncan's stock as a prospect has fallen this year, but his recent hot streak could make him more attractive to other teams as the trading deadline approaches.

After nearly a month on the disabled list with a lower back strain, Eric Duncan was demoted to Double-A on Wednesday, according to Newsday. Duncan hit just .209 with six RBI in 31 games for Triple-A Columbus.
