Brian Anderson has been recalled by the Red Sox from Triple-A Pawtucket, according to TSN.

Our View:Anderson is a career .225 hitter in the majors, and is not expected to see enough action with Boston to register a blip on the fantasy radar.

Brian Anderson has been optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket by the Red Sox, according to the Boston Globe. The move was made to open a spot for the activation of outfielder Rocco Baldelli.

Our View:Anderson only lasted six days with the big club, and he should be more comfortable in Pawtucket, where he can get more playing time. Anderson has not had any fantasy value all year, even when he was starting for the White Sox, and that doesn't look to change any time soon.

Brian Anderson has been recalled by the Red Sox from Triple-A Pawtucket, according to TSN. Josh Reddick was sent down as the corresponding move.

Our View:Anderson was part of the trade that sent Mark Kotsay to Chicago. Anderson could see some action while J.D. Drew recovers from his strained groin, but is only worth a look for deeper AL-only leagues.

Less than a week after asking for a trade, Brian Anderson has been traded to the Boston Red Sox for Mark Kotsay, according to MLB.com's Noah Coslov.

Our View:Anderson had been demoted by the White Sox last weekend after Carlos Quentin was activated from the disabled list. He says he believes that he is a big leaguer and he needs consistent at-bats. Ironically, now that's he received his wish, he may get even less major league playing time, as the Red Sox are set in their outfield with Jason Bay, J.D. Drew and Jacoby Ellsbury, and even recently acquired another outfielder, Chris Duncan. Look for him to be assigned to Triple-A Pawtucket.

According to MLB.com, White Sox outfielder Brian Anderson has asked the organization for a trade.

Our View:Anderson is currently in Triple-A due to the return of Carlos Quentin. He has struggled this season, but the 27-year old outfielder would like a chance to get consistent at-bats. "I need to play every day and be an everyday big-leaguer," Anderson said. "I have more to offer. If it's not with the White Sox, then maybe it really is time for a change." Anderson has a .238/.322/.319 line this season, which includes just two home runs in 65 games. He will likely garner at least some interest.
