Travis Ishikawa (foot) could make his spring training debut on Friday, according to the San Jose Mercury-News.

Our View:He is still on track to be ready for opening day. He is only a fantasy option in deeper NL-only leagues.

According to Andrew Baggarly on Twitter, an MRI revealed that Travis Ishikawa will not require surgery on his injured foot.

Our View:He is slated to wear a walking boot for one more week, but this is clearly good news for the Giants. Expect him to miss the early slate of Cactus League games, but we see no reason why he wouldn't be ready for Opening Day.

Travis Ishikawa partially tore two ligaments in his left foot when he slipped on stairs three weeks ago, according to the San Jose Mercury News' Andrew Baggarly.

Our View:He's currently in a walking boot and while surgery is not likely, it is possible. Regardless, the Giants' signing of Aubrey Huff this offseason killed any chance of Ishikawa opening the season with any fantasy value.
June 23, 2009
Travis Ishikawa went 1-for-2 with a solo homer off Trevor Cahill, and recorded the Giants' lone RBI in Monday's 5-1 loss at Oakland.

Our View:Ishikawa is enjoying a power surge as he swatted his third homer over his last four games. He only collected one homer in the entire month of May, and hit none in April.
June 12, 2009
Travis Ishikawa has been activated from the bereavement list, according to TSN. He needed time away from the Giants to attend his grandfather's funeral.

Our View:Ishikawa should be fine to return to fantasy lineups if he is a regular contributor to your team.
