Royals second baseman Alberto Callaspo went 3-for-3 and walked once, raising his batting average to .302 in the Royals 7-3 win over Detroit.

Our View:In over 100 at-bats, Callaspo has on home runs and just four RBI, so his fantasy value is not particularly high, but he may be of use in AL-only leagues should his average continue to stay around the .300 mark.

The Royals activated Alberto Callaspo from the DL Saturday. He had been out with an unspecified medical reason after being cited for DUI.

Our View:Callaspo could get some significant time at second. He's worth an AL-only spot.

Alberto Callaspo is slated to begin to rehab assignment after working himself into playing shape at Triple-A Omaha, according to the KC Star. Callaspo was placed on the DL June 28 for undisclosed medical reasons one day after being cited for a DUI.

Our View:He hit .290 over 100 at-bats with the Royals this season, and would be worth a look in deeper AL-only leagues when he gets activated.

The Royals placed infielder Alberto Callaspo on the disabled list, this according to the KC Star. It appears that after Callaspo was arrested for DUI last night and spent seven hours in lockup the team has asked him to undergo evaluation and treatment

Our View: The club filled the roster vacancy by recalling first baseman/DH Billy Butler from Class AAA Omaha.

Alberto Callaspo was arrested for DUI last night and spent seven hours in prison, reports the Kansas City Star. He was stopped at about 3 A.M. and released around noon.

Our View:No word on if the Royals plan on disciplining Callaspo, who is hitting .290 with four RBI and eight runs scored in 100 at-bats. If he is on your fantasy roster for some reason, keep an eye out for any potential punishment coming his way.
