Outfielder Justin Upton was scratched from the lineup on Tuesday as he is dealing with headaches after he got hit in the head with the ball on a pickoff attempt, according to DBacks.com.

Our View:Cardinals reliever Brad Thompson attempted to pick off Upton but the throw was low, and hit Upton in the noggin as he slid back in head first.

Justin Upton is considered day-to-day and may not play Tuesday after getting struck in the head by a pick-off attempt on Monday night, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View:We will keep you posted regarding his status. The Diamondbacks have options in the outfield, so the team will feel no need or urgency to rush him back into action.

Justin Upton has been activated from the DL following his bout with a strained left oblique, according to the East Valley Tribune. Leo Rosales was optioned to Triple-A Tucson to make room on the roster.

Our View:The team is yet to determine Upton's role. They did not acquire slugger Adam Dunn to ride the pine.

It appears that Justin Upton is going to find his way back to Phoenix. According to the East Valley Tribune Upton will be recalled from Triple-A Tucson on either Friday or Saturday.

Our View:Upton has been hitting the ball better at Tucson, homering on Tuesday night.

Justin Upton is healthy, but he has not performed well so far in Triple-A, which has delayed his return to the team, according to the Arizona Republic. In his last five games, Upton had struck out 11 times in 18 at-bats, with only three hits.

Our View:Before Upton can be recalled, he'll have to at least start to make contact and hit the ball somewhere in fair territory.
