Brent Clevlen has been outrighted to the minors by the Tigers, according to TSN.

Our View:Clevlen was not expected to win a reserve spot in the Tigers' outfield.
February 18, 2009
Brent Clevlen is off to a good start hitting in spring camp with the Tigers, according to the Detroit News. Skipper Jim Leyland said, "His bat was making loud sounds."

Our View:The 25-year-old still has little chance to make the Tigers' opening day roster in a deep and talented outfield.
June 19, 2008
Brent Clevlen has been optioned to Triple-A Toledo, according to MLive.com. The Tigers activated Clete Thomas from the DL, and optioned Clevlen to make room on the roster.

Our View:Clevlen displayed solid defense over 11 games, but only hit .208 with eight strikeouts.
June 15, 2008
Brent Clevlen is starting today in place of regular center fielder Curtis Granderson. Clevlen was far from productive in both 2006 and 2007, but hit .324/.417/.620 with 13 homers and 55 RBI in 58 games at Triple-A before being called up earlier in the month.

Our View:Clevlen starts in center field and is hitting ninth in the Tigers lineup against Dodgers' rookie southpaw Clayton Kershaw.
June 6, 2008
The Tigers recalled Brent Clevlen from Triple-A Toledo Friday. Clevlen was raking at Triple-A, putting up a .324-13-55 line.

Our View:Clevlen is worth a look in AL-only play, though he doesn't figure to play a ton.
