March 11, 2010 Edwin Jackson tossed three scoreless innings on Thursday, allowing one hit no walks and striking out one. Our View:Assuming Brandon Webb is healthy, Jackson is slated to be the D-Backs third starter this season. He broke out last year with the Tigers, but should have a tougher time in Arizona's hitter friendly ballpark. Still, he should be a decent mid-rotation fantasy starter. |

February 14, 2010 Edwin Jackson has agreed to a two-year deal with the Diamondbacks to avoid arbitration, according to MLB writer Steve Gilbert's twitter page. It is believed to be worth $13.35MM. Our View:Jackson initially wanted $6.25MM per year, while Arizona only offered $4.6MM. He is coming off his best MLB campaign, as he held a 3.62 ERA and 1.26 WHIP over 214 innings with Detroit in 2009. |
