June 16, 2009
Laynce Nix carried the Reds in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Braves at the Great American Ballpark, as he went 3-for-5 with three RBI. He had two doubles and a single.

Our View:Nix was in need of a solid performance, as he only mustered one hit over his previous 14 at-bats. He ended an eight-game skid with any RBI as well, and is not consistent enough to employ outside of NL-only leagues.

June 7, 2009
Laynce Nix went 3-for-6 in the Reds' 6-3, 14-inning loss to the Cubs on Sunday.

Our View:Nix has been smoking the ball lately and has three homers, eight RBI and an average above .300 for the month of June. His recent fine play has earned him more at-bats and some fantasy consideration.

June 4, 2009
Laynce Nix went 1-for-3 with a solo homer off Chris Carpenter, and recorded the Reds' lone RBI in Thursday's 3-1 loss at Busch Stadium.

Our View:Nix has now hit a home run in back-to-back games, with three homers over the span. He has seven homers for the season, making him a nice source for power in deeper fantasy leagues.

June 3, 2009
Laynce Nix was 2-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI and two runs scored as the Reds defeated the Cardinals 9-3 on Wednesday.

Our View:Nix had five hits and seven RBI during his three games in St. Louis this week. However, he's probably still not worth owning in most formats as his impressive week brings him to just six home runs and 17 RBI on the season.

Laynce Nix went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Monday's 5-3 win at St. Louis. He hit a single and a double.

Our View:Nix was in need of a solid outing, as he was hitless over his previous three games. He is seeing enough action to be useful for NL-only leagues.
