Harris went 3-for-3 at the plate with his fifth homer of the season, totaling four RBIs and one run scored. Our View:Harris hit just .242 last month with two homers and eight RBIs. He's improved to .308 thus far through July, and though he does not have a homer, he has earned nine RBIs to top last month's total. |

March 26, 2008 The Twins have basically named Brendan Harris as the starting second baseman to open the year. He has been battling Nick Punto for the job. "I'll probably start Harris [at second base] and go from there," manager Ron Gardenhire tells the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "I think Nicky's struggled offensively, but defensively, we know what he can do. Harris has been kind of hit-and-miss with his defense, but he's starting to swing better." Harris has value in AL-only league due to his okay bat and versatility. Punto shouldn't be on fantasy rosters. |
