Player Notes
July 12, 2008
Minnesota earned the 6-5 win over Detroit today with big help from the bat of shortstop Brendan Harris . Harris went 3-for-3 at the plate with his fifth homer of the season, totaling four RBIs and one run scored.

Our View:Harris hit just .242 last month with two homers and eight RBIs. He's improved to .308 thus far through July, and though he does not have a homer, he has earned nine RBIs to top last month's total.

Brendan Harris will start at third base on Saturday for the Twins, according to the Star Tribune.

Our View:Harris has been taking grounders at third base for a couple of days as looks to continue to add versatility to his game.

Brendan Harris will make his second straight start at shortstop on Friday night, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Adam Everett (shoulder), Matt Tolbert (thumb), and Nick Punto (hamstring) are all on the DL.

Our View:This isn't the ideal fore the Twins, as Rod Gardenhire prefers better defense up the middle. The club doesn't have many other options right now, though.

Brendan Harris has missed a few games due to a sore right hamstring, but he is expected back in the Twins' lineup tonight against Boston, according to MLB.com.

Our View:He should be safe to return to your lineups tonight.

Brendan Harris did not play on Saturday due to a sore right hamstring, and he could sit on Sunday as well. Manager Ron Gardenhire tells the Minneapolis Star Tribune that the second baseman is "iffy." Matt Tolbert started on Saturday.

Our View:Fantasy owners looking to set their lineups for the week ahead can probably bet on Harris playing. It doesn't sound like the injury is serious.
April 20, 2008
Brendan Harris hit his first home run of the season on Sunday as the Twins defeated the Indians in 10 innings. The Twins second baseman had three hits, two runs scored and one RBI.

Our View:Harris won't hit for much power this season, but his near .300 average and 10 runs scored are solid numbers for roto-managers.

Brendan Harris is now riding a four-game hit streak, extended by going 3-for-4 in Minnesota’s 12-5 victory over the Chicago White Sox. Harris picked up his fourth double of the year and totaled three runs scored, now carrying a batting average of .348.
April 4, 2008
Flu-like symptoms are keeping Brendan Harris out of the lineup Friday. Matt Tolbert started at second in his place. Consider Harris day-to-day for the time being.
March 26, 2008
The Twins have basically named Brendan Harris as the starting second baseman to open the year. He has been battling Nick Punto for the job. "I'll probably start Harris [at second base] and go from there," manager Ron Gardenhire tells the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "I think Nicky's struggled offensively, but defensively, we know what he can do. Harris has been kind of hit-and-miss with his defense, but he's starting to swing better." Harris has value in AL-only league due to his okay bat and versatility. Punto shouldn't be on fantasy rosters.

Brendan Harris went 3-for-4 against St. Louis on Saturday. He needed a strong day at the plate, and raised his average to .238. He is penciled in as the starting second baseman.
