Chris Duffy has been outrighted to Triple-A Nashville by the Brewers, according to TSN. He was designated for assignment last week.

Our View:Duffy was hitting .125 with 12 strikeouts over 32 at-bats with Milwaukee this season, and the club did not give him a chance to get on track as a reserve outfielder.

TSN.ca is reporting that the Brewers have designated Chris Duffy for assignment. This move opens up a roster spot for the newly acquired Jody Gerut.

Our View:Duffy has struggled with the Brewers so far in 2009. hitting .125 in 19 games. He held no fantasy value as a reserve outfielder, so no impact here.

Chris Duffy was 2-for-4 with his sixth double and ninth RBI of the spring in Monday's 9-6 win over the Cubs. He started in left field.

Our View:Duffy is signed to a minor-league contract, but he stands a good chance to make the squad as a fourth outfielder. He is 15-for-44 (.341) with eight extra base hits this spring.

Chris Duffy has signed a minor league deal with the Milwaukee Brewers, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Duffy is coming off of shoulder surgery and he has never been a very effective outfielder. Don't count on a sudden change in Milwaukee.

Chris Duffy has cleared waivers and was sent to Triple-A Indianapolis, according to the Pitsburgh Tribune-Review.

Our View:Duffy remains in the Pirates' organization, but should be ignored as a fantasy prospect for the rest of 2008.
