September 7, 2008 Cole Hamels allowed five runs in five innings in the Phillies 6-3 loss to the Mets. The lefty saw his record fall to 12-9. Our View:This was Hamels' worst start since the end of May. His record is deceiving, and he should have many more wins than he does. Nonetheless, fantasy owners are still reaping the rewards of his ERA, WHIP and strikeouts. |

The Phillies Our View:Dubee and manager Charlie Manuel are considering Hamels and J.A. Happ. Sunday's starter is listed as "TBA," an indication that it won't be Kyle Kendrick and the staff simply won't know until after tonight's game. |

It is probably a good idea for Philadelphia to start their best pitcher against the team they are battling for the division, so look for Hamels to get the green light against New York. |
