Russ Adams has signed a minor league deal with the Padres, according to their official team twitter page. He was sent to Triple-A Portland.

Our View:The 28-year-old infielder is a career .248 hitter with little power, and does not merit fantasy attention while providing organizational depth in the minors for San Diego.

Russ Adams has cleared waivers with Toronto, and has opted for free agency, according to the Associated Press. He was designated for assignment last week.

Our View:Adams failed to impress the Jays this season with an anemic .200 average over 20 at-bats. The 28-year-old infielder is not expected to be fantasy worthy if he finds work with another club.

MLB.com's Jordan Bastian is reporting on his Twitter page that the Blue Jays have designated Russ Adams for assignment. In a corresponding move, the team recalled outfielder David Dellucci from Triple-A.

Our View:Adams was 4-for-20 with the Jays this season, and he was not a player who had any impact on the team. Dellucci should provide a better option, and Adams will not have any fantasy value regardless of where he ends up.

Russ Adams has been recalled by the Jays from Triple-A Las Vegas, according to TSN. Joe Inglett was sent down as the adjoining move.

Our View:Adams is a career .248 hitter in the majors, and is not expected to hold much fantasy value while serving as a reserve infielder.
March 11, 2009
Russ Adams was pulled from Wednesday's game with a quad injury, but it is not believed to be serious, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Adams failed to play in Toronto last season. He is battling for a job as a utility infielder, but he will need some help to land it.
March 9, 2009
Russ Adams went 1-for-2 with two RBI in Monday's 6-2 win over the Yankees. His hit was a homer, his first of the spring.

Our View:Adams started at shortstop for the Jays as a rookie in 2005, but failed to hold a role with the club since then. He is not expected to be fantasy-worthy in 2009.
February 6, 2009
Russ Adams has been designated for assignment by the Blue Jays, according to MLB.com. He was moved to make room for T.J. Beam on the 40-man roster.

Our View:The team has 10 days to either trade, release or reassign Adams. He started at shortstop for the Jays as a rookie in 2005, but failed to hold a role with the club since then.
