The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Khalil Greene will not be on the Cardinals postseason roster. He will be a free agent this winter.

Our View:Greene hit just .200 this season with 24 RBI in 170 at-bats. He also battled depression throughout the season. With the emergence of shortstop Brendan Ryan, the Cardinals will not be interested in bringing him back and he'll probably have a hard time getting anything more than a minor league deal.

As expected, Khalil Greene has been activated from the 15-day DL, according to the Associated Press. Mitchell Boggs was optioned to Triple-A to make room on the roster.

Our View:Greene has been suffering from social anxiety disorder which limited him to only 47 games this season. Skipper Tony LaRussa considered starting Greene today, and he could work his way back into the lineup if his illness is under control.

The Cardinals will activate infielder Khalil Greene (anxiety) from the 15-day DL on Saturday, MLB.com confirms.

Our View:Greene could see a decent amount of action over the next few days because Brendan Ryan (ankle) is out, but the former starting shortstop is expected to be only a bench player moving forward.

According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, the Cardinals could activate shortstop Khalil Greene as early as Friday.

Our View:Greene, on the DL with anxiety issues for the second time this season, has been mashing the ball in Triple-A and with Thursday's injury to Brendan Ryan the Cards could get his bat in the lineup. In the last eight games of his rehab stint, Greene is 12-for-30 with four homers and eight RBI.

MLB.com is reporting that Cardinals' infielder Khalil Greene is getting close to returning to the team. Greene could be activated by the team as soon as Tuesday, before the team begins its next road trip.

Our View:Greene has been absolutely destroying Triple-A pitching as of late to the tune of a .343 average and four home runs over the last ten games. He won't be an everyday guy when he returns, but he could provide some infield depth and a right handed bat off the bench.
