The Rangers have successfully voided Khalil Greene's contract, according to the Dallas Morning News' Evan Grant.

Our View:Greene, who signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with Texas this offseason, was unable to report to camp on Tuesday due to a setback with his social anxiety disorder. You have to feel for Greene in this situation, but at the same time can't blame the Rangers for attempting to void his contract given that it seemed like he'd be missing a significant chunk of time. He's now back on the market, but he'll clearly have to prove to be healthy and in the right mindset before any team gives him a look.

Updating an earlier report, the Rangers may end up attempting to void Khalil Greene's contract, according to the Dallas Morning News' Evan Grant.

Our View:Greene signed a one-year deal, $750,000 deal with Texas in January but will not be reporting with the rest of the team's infielders on Tuesday do to his social anxiety disorder. It's been reported that he could end up being away from the team for a significant amount of time, though it's unclear whether or not the Rangers would have a case if they did indeed try to void his contract.

Khalil Greene will not report to camp with the rest of Texas' infielders on Tuesday and could miss a significant amount of time as he deals with anxiety issues, according to Fox Sports.

Our View:This problem is nothing new for Greene, who was placed on the DL twice last year as a result of his social anxiety disorder. The Rangers could opt to sign another infielder, as Felipe Lopez is still on the market, though they do have capable backups in Esteban German and Joaquin Arias.

According to the Dallas News, Khalil Greene has passed his physical, verifying his one-year deal with the Rangers.

Our View:Greene will earn $750,000 next year and may have a chance to make an impact with the Rangers. He had a horrible season with the Cardinals last year battling physical ailments, mental issues and overall ineffectiveness, but will get a fresh start in Texas. He'll likely come off the bench as a backup infielder.

The Rangers have reportedly inked Khalil Greene to a one-year deal worth $750,000, according to the Hot Stove Blog on MLB.com. The deal is pending a physical, and he is expected to serve in a utility role.

Our View:Greene only batted .200 with six homers over 170 at-bats in a disappointing 2009 campaign with St. Louis, and will be looking to improve his stock with Texas in 2010. He could benefit from playing his home games at hitter-friendly Rangers Ballpark, assuming his personal issues are behind him.
