Angel Pagan has opted to undergo season-ending surgery on the torn labrum in his left shoulder, according to the NY Post. Dr. David Altchek will perform the operation at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

Our View:He fared well as a reserve with the Mets this season, as he hit .275 with 13 RBI over 91 at-bats.
July 18, 2008
Angel Pagan is probably going to have shoulder surgery and miss the remainder of the season, according to the New York Post. He is suffering from a torn left laburm.

Our View:Pagan was a part-time player hitting .275 with no home runs and 13 RBI, so he carried little value in fantasy terms.

Angel Pagan has suffered a setback during action with Single-A Brooklyn on Wednesday, according to the NY Daily News.

Our View:The injury was not disclosed, but he was recovering from a left shoulder contusion. He was previously hoping to return from the DL shortly after the All-Star break.

Angel Pagan's shoulder continues to improve with his rehab work at Port St. Lucie and he is hopeful of returning to the Mets shortly after the All-Star break, according to the New York Post.

Our View:With Moises Alou likely done for the year with a torn hamstring, Pagan could pick up some at-bats in the outfield, though the club would be fooling itself if it was counting on Pagan being anything more than a depth player.

Angel Pagan continues to rehab his shoulder in hopes of returning to the Mets lineup, but it appears that he might have to opt for season ending surgery, according to Mets Blog.

Our View:Apparently Pagan can throw just fine, but he still is unable to swing the lumber without discomfort. Pagan was a nice early story, but those memories have quickly faded.
