The Devil Rays optioned Kevin Cash to Triple-A Durham on Friday. He was hitting just .161 over 31 at-bats.

The Devil Rays recalled Kevin Cash from Triple-A Durham on Monday, according to the AP. Cash hit .350 with seven homers and 14 RBI in 17 games with Durham. He will replace Charles Johnson as the team's back-up catcher. Cash hit .193 with four homers and 21 RBI in 60 games for the Blue Jays in 2004.
