Player Notes
July 16, 2008
Chad Tracy appears to have settled into the D'backs every day lineup at first base, with former first baseman Conor Jackson spending even more time in the outfield, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View:Tracy is hitting .410 over his last 39 AB and .377 over his final 16 games. With production like that, the team certainly will find a spot for that smooth swing in the lineup. Jackson should continue to play on a daily basis as well and has now played 17 games in the outfield.
July 13, 2008
Due to the injury to outfielder Eric Byrnes, Chad Tracy is playing everyday. Tracy was 3-for-5 with three RBI on Saturday to raise his average to .303.

Our View:He's also been batting cleanup which means he'll have plenty of RBI chances in the second half.
July 12, 2008
The Diamondbacks put the whooping on the Phillies this evening, taking the 10-4 win thanks to the batting duo of corner infielders Chad Tracy and Mark Reynolds. Reynolds went just 1-for-4 at the plate but made the one hit good for his 19th homer of the season, totaling four RBIs on the day. Meanwhile Tracy went 3-for-5 at the plate, hitting three singles to total three RBIs and one runs scored.

Our View:Tracy is in the midst of a strong surge on offense, hitting .421 through July with 10 RBIs thus far. However, Reynolds is heading the other direction, hitting just .192 thus far this month with just two RBIs.
July 10, 2008
Chad Tracy had three hits, two runs, and two RBI for the D'backs on Thursday night. Conor Jackson, playing in left field, also had three hits.

Our View:Tracy hasn't gone deep in 13 games, but he has lifted his average over .040 points since his last bomb up to .287. The team has committed to finding ways to get Tracy into the lineup nightly, so his value is rising to the point where he might be worthy of consideration in deep mixed leagues.
July 2, 2008
With Eric Byrnes back on the disabled list the Diamondbacks are expected to play Conor Jackson in left field and Chad Tracy fulltime at first.

Our View:Expect Tracy to increase his efficiency with regular playing time, especially in the power department at hitter-friendly Chase Field.
