May 19, 2006 Cliff Lee was not feeling well during the first inning of Thursday's game against the Royals, when he walked the first two hitters he faced and gave up a run, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "I felt dizzy," he said. "It was almost like a blood-sugar thing. I felt like I needed some sugar or something to eat. It's happened before when I was younger, but not lately." The Tribe's training staff gave Lee some Gatorade and a Gatorade bar between innings. He went on to pitch six innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits and three walks. |
