The Indians plan to give Cliff Lee a little extra rest, so he will start on Saturday this week, giving him nine days between starts, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The Indians will keep Cliff Lee in the rotation, even though he is 1-9 with a 9.69 ERA since the All-Star break, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "We will probably give him an extra day of rest before his next start," manager Eric Wedge said. "He needs to get back to going what made him successful ... back to attacking hitters."

Cliff Lee worked out with the Indians Sunday, but won't make the trip to Chicago until team doctors are sure that he hasn't contracted chicken pox from his 2-year-old son. Lee has shown no symptoms of the disease so far.

Cliff Lee has been traveling with his family and ended up quarantined at his hotel room because one of his kids has chicken pox, according to the Akron Beacon-Journal. "Cliff only has to be quarantined for a day or two, because the incubation period for chicken pox is three or four days, and his son has had it for two or three days," trainer Lonnie Soloff said. "The chances of him contracting it are about one in 10."

The AP reports that Cliff Lee was suspended for six games Saturday and fined an undisclosed amount for intentionally throwing at the head of Ken Griffey last Sunday. Lee has already appealed the suspension and is scheduled to make his next start on Wednesday against the White Sox.
