With Travis Hafner still out of the lineup due to a concussion, Jhonny Peralta was moved up the to No. 3 spot in the lineup on Saturday. He responded by going 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI. "I'm sure he'll be back in there (at No. 3) tomorrow," manager Eric Wedge said.

Indians manager Eric Wedge decided to move Jhonny Peralta to the fifth spot in the batting order on Saturday. "I'm going to keep him in that area (of the lineup)," Wedge said. "He's been as consistent as anybody for us." Peralta was 0-for-4 on Saturday but has an impressive .519 slugging percentage.

Although it appears that Jhonny Peralta is the heavy favorite to win the starting shortstop job in Cleveland, Brandon Philips will get an honest shot at the job, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "Both guys are coming in to fight for the starting job," manager Eric Wedge said. "I feel strong about both players, but each of them comes in with a different skill set."
