Player Notes
November 20, 2008
Coco Crisp is aiming for 40 steals with the Royals this season, according to their official team website.

Our View:No member of the Royals reached that many steals since Carlos Beltran notched 41 back in 2003. Crisp's personal best is only 28, but has confidence in his abilities and is enthusiastic of helping the Royals climb the ranks of the highly competitive AL Central.
November 19, 2008
Coco Crisp has been dealt from the Red Sox to the Royals in exchange for reliever Ramon Ramirez, according to ESPN Sports Radio 810.

Our View:The Royals acquire speed and a solid center fielder, while the Red Sox get a capable late-game reliever.
November 18, 2008
Peter Gammons of ESPN indicates that Coco Crisp could get traded by Boston in exchange for a reliever.

Our View:The team would add a reliever to the bullpen to allow Justin Masterson to start. If Crisp is traded, the fantasy stock of Jacoby Ellsbury would increase as the full-time center fielder.
November 4, 2008
Coco Crisp is apparently being offered to the Padres for shortstop Khalil Greene, according to the Tacoma News Tribune.

Our View:Jacoby Ellsbury appears to be the center fielder of the future for the Red Sox, and a big reason that Crisp is likely on his way out.
October 18, 2008
Coco Crisp will roam center field and bat leadoff in tonight's Game 6 of the ALCS against the Rays, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Crisp will get the call over struggling rookie Jacoby Ellsbury, who is hitless over 14 at-bats (registered one walk) in the ALCS.
