Fanhouse.com is reporting that outfielder Coco Crisp isn't likely to return to Kansas City next season. The team has an $8 million option on Crisp, but they can buy him out for $500,000.

Our View:The Royals want to avoid wasting money, and Crisp was less than impressive last season with the team. It seems almost inconceivable that they would pay him $8 mil next season, so expect him to find a new home.

Coco Crisp underwent successful surgery on his right shoulder to repair a torn labrum, according to the Kansas City Star.

Our View:Skipper Trey Hillman noted that Crisp's recovery could take 6-12 months, depending on how his body responds. It remains to be seen if the Royals will pick up his $8MM option for next season.

Coco Crisp will miss the remainder of the season as he will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder, according to the Kansas City Star.

Our View:The usual recovery time for the procedure is 4-6 months. The Royals will have to decide whether or not to pick up his $8MM option for next season. He should be dropped from fantasy rosters.

Coco Crisp is reportedly facing season-ending surgery on his ailing right shoulder, according to the Kansas City Star.

Our View:There is fear that Crisp may be dealing with a torn labrum rather than a strained rotator cuff. Crisp is slated to visit Dr. James Andrews in Alabama for a second opinion on his shoulder Monday.

Outfielder Coco Crisp has finally landed on the DL, according to MLB.com. He has been in and out of the lineup with a sore shoulder going back to May 26. The injury primarily affects him when batting from the left side. Tug Hulett will replace him on the roster.

Our View:Mitch Maier will probably pick up most of the slack while he is out of the lineup, although Willie Bloomquist will see more action as well. Crisp is hitting only .228 on the season with 13 stolen bases and 30 runs scored. He has drawn 29 walks against only 23 strikeouts. A career .277 hitter, we expect better things to come from the 29-year-old this season.
