Player Notes
March 14, 2010
Kyle Davies was tagged for six earned runs on seven hits over 2.2 innings in Sunday's 10-3 loss to the Athletics in the Cactus League. He had three walks and no strikeouts.

Our View:Davies averages a 1.54 WHIP over his last three seasons in the bigs, and he will likely have several more nightmarish performances like today in 2010. In other words, Davies is not worth targeting in fantasy drafts.

Kyle Davies and Brian Bannister have both signed one-year contracts to remain with the Royals in 2010.

Our View:As has Roman Colon. Both Bannister and Davies figure to be in the Royals' 2010 rotation.
September 18, 2009
Kyle Davies has been scratched from Saturday's scheduled start at Chicago due to a minor oblique ailment, according to team beat writer Bob Dutton's twitter page.

Our View:Lefty Dusty Hughes will take the hill in his place. This is bad timing for Davies, as he hurled six scoreless innings in his last start against Cleveland.
September 13, 2009
Kyle Davies was outstanding again on Sunday as the Royals blanked the Indians 7-0. Davies went six scoreless innings and allowed one hit while walking six and striking out three.

Our View:Davies has 12 walks in his last two starts, but he has also only allowed one run over those two starts. He is getting himself out of trouble, and if he can get the walk total down, he could be an excellent pitcher down the stretch.
September 7, 2009
Kyle Davies only allowed one earned run on five hits over five innings in Monday's 6-3 win over the Angels at Kauffman Stadium. He issued six walks with one strikeout.

Our View:Davies had a solid outing other than the six free passes. He is pitching very well right now, as he allowed two or less earned runs in each of his last three starts.
