According to the Kansas City Star, demoted starter Kyle Davies tossed eight scoreless innings in a minor league start on Thursday night.

Our View:Davies allowed just three hits and struck out eight. Unimpressive at the Major League level with a 3-7 record and a 5.76, he has dazzled so far in Triple-A. If he continues to pitch like this he could be back in the Royals rotation before he knows it.

According to ESPN.com, the Royals have demoted starter Kyle Davies to Triple-A due to his recent struggles.

Our View:Davies got blasted in Friday's loss to the Cardinals (eight runs through 2.2 innings) and has just one win in his last nine starts. In a corresponding move, the Royals activated Robinson Tejeda from the 15-day DL. With the move, Davies doesn't have a shred of fantasy value left.

Kyle Davies was lit up for eight runs (seven earned) on nine hits over a mere 2.2 innings in Friday's 10-5 loss to the Cardinals at Kauffman Stadium. He had two walks and two strikeouts, and was tagged for three homers.

Our View:Davies has taken a loss in six of his last seven starts, and is not fit for fantasy duty right now. He has allowed four or more earned runs four times over that span.

Kyle Davies allowed three earned runs on two hits over five innings in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Reds at Kauffman Stadium. He issued five walks with one strikeout.

Our View:Davies snapped a five-game losing streak, and claimed his third win of the season, with all three coming at home.

Kyle Davies allowed four earned runs on nine hits over eight innings in Sunday's 4-0 loss at Toronto. He had three walks and three strikeouts, and gave up two homers.

Our View:Davis falls to 2-6 for the season, with a 5.13 ERA. He is winless over his last seven starts, and should not be considered for fantasy lineups in his next outing.
