Edwin Encarnacion (wrist) should start to be worked into spring games next week, according to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian.

Our View:It couldn't hurt to monitor Encarnacion's effectiveness once he gets out on the field. He's always had pretty nice talent, and maybe, just maybe, this is the season he puts it all together and stays consistent.

Shi Davidi of the Canadian Press tweets that Edwin Encarnacion is doing well following a fireworks accident that burned his face, according to his agent.

Our View:Encarnacion suffered first and second degree burns on his face, but is still expected to report to spring training on time. He will miss about two weeks, but should be able to resume his offseason training program right after. Last season he hit just .225 with 13 homers and 39 RBI in just under 300 at-bats with the Reds and Jays.
