The Mets promoted David Wright to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, according to Newsday. In 60 games with Double-A Binghamton, Wright hit .363 with 27 doubles, 10 homers, 40 RBI, and 20 stolen bases over 223 at-bats. If he puts up similar numbers at Norfolk, it will be difficult to keep him in the minors until September, which is the club's current plan.

Wright has been arguably the most impressive hitter in the minors this season. Through 46 games with Double-A Binghamton, he's hitting .357 with eight homers, 17 stolen bases, and a .473 on-base percentage.
