John Rheinecker had cleanup surgery on his shoulder Saturday, according to MLB.com. The lefty had already been ruled out until after the All-Star break after being affected by thoracic outlet syndrome on his shoulder. This surgery was considered minor and won't affect his return date.

Our View:Rheinecker can basically be ignored in all fantasy formats for this season.

John Rheinecker is expected to miss at least the first half of the upcoming season, according to the Dallas Morning News. Rheinecker has been diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, a condition that limits blood flow to the extremities, and the same problem that cost Hank Blalock most of last season. Just like Blalock, Rheinecker is expected to undergo surgery to remove a rib, which should allow for better blood flow.

John Rheinecker has been shut down after telling the staff of swelling and tingling in his left arm according to the official team website. Rhino has been sent back to Dallas for further examination. Rheinecker came to camp with a shot at being the third left-hander in the bullpen behind C.J. Wilson and Eddie Guardado.

Despite allowing 13 runs over his last 9 1/3 innings of work, John Rheinecker will remain in the Rangers rotation for the time being, according to the Dallas Morning News. Regardless, Rheinecker should be nowhere near your fantasy rotation right now.

John Rheinecker was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma by the Rangers on Monday, according to the AP. He will start the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday against Seattle. Rheinecker allowed four runs in three innings against Detroit on June 5 in his only start for Texas.

Our View:How long he stays with Texas depends on how well he pitches on Tuesday. With Robinson Tejeda being shipped to the minors, Rheinecker could steal a rotation spot with a few good outings.
