Gabe Gross went 4-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Friday.

Our View:Gross has already made the team, but his .393 average and nine RBI this spring could help him get a bump in playing time. He'll be a reserve outfielder, but if anyone struggles or gets hurt he could see a decent amount of playing time. Don't bother with him in fantasy circles until that happens though.

The A's have signed Gabe Gross to a one-year, $750,000 contract, according to MLB.com.

Our View:The deal includes incentives based on plate appearances that can bring the value up to $1 million. With the ability to play all three outfield spots, Gross will serve as Oakland's top outfield reserve and will also be used as the team's top lefty bat off the bench.

The Athletics are reportedly in serious talks with Gabe Gross, according to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports.

Our View:Oakland wants to add him with a one-year deal, and that would not put them out of the running for Johnny Damon. Gross is a career .251 hitter against right-handed pitching, and would be a quality bat for the A's bench if signed.

Gabe Gross drove in two on Sunday in the Rays' 4-3 win over the Royals. Gross went 1-for-3 with a double and the two runs batted in.

Our View:Gross is hitting .276 on the year in limited time, and he is a nice player coming off the bench for the Rays. He has four homers and 26 RBI in 63 games this season, and he should continue to produce when called upon by manager Joe Maddon.

Gabe Gross went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss at New York. Both of his knocks were singles.

Our View:The Rays only mustered six hits in the loss, and B.J. Upton had their only extra-base hit with a double. Gross ended a seven-game drought with an RBI, and only has 16 for the season. Gross is not steady enough to consider outside of deeper AL-only leagues.
