Player Notes
March 16, 2010
Chris Capuano has inflammation in his elbow and will be shut down indefinitely by the Brewers, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Our View:Capuano looked like a pitcher on the rise after solid campaigns in 2005 and 2006 but was ineffective in 2007 and hasn't been able to stay healthy ever since. At this point, he's an afterthought for fantasy owners.
November 23, 2009
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is reporting that the Brewers have inked pitcher Chris Capuano to a minor league deal. Capuano is coming off his second Tommy John surgery since 2002.

Our View:Capuano received a spring training invite from the team as well, so this is a good gamble for a team desperate for pitching. If he can give them any kind of production this season, it was worth the risk.
September 2, 2009
MLB.com reports that former All Star lefty Chris Capuano pitched two scoreless innings in a rehab outing in rookie ball.

Our View:Capuano hasn't pitched since 2007 and is trying to rebound from his second Tommy John surgery. The chances of him returning to the Brewers this season are remote and he'll likely have to sign another minor league deal if he wants to try and make the club next season.
April 2, 2009
Chris Capuano has been reassigned to minor league camp by the Brewers, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Our View:Capuano will remain in extended spring training while continuing his comeback from a second Tommy John surgery. He is hoping to join one of the minor league affiliates at some point in April to start pitching in games.
February 8, 2009
The Brewers are hopeful Chris Capuano will be able to return from his second Tommy John surgery around a month or so into the season, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Our View:The former rising star was consistent in 2005 and 2006, and had a solid strikeout rate prior to dealing with injuries. He could be worth a look as a flier in deeper NL-only leagues.
