Player Notes
August 31, 2008
Justin Morneau went 2-for-5 with a homer and four RBI in Sunday's win over the A's. He has 40 RBI in 42 games since the All-Star break.

Our View:The 2006 AL MVP only swatted three homers in August, but he continues to provide excellent overall production for fantasy teams. He could throw his name into the 2008 MVP mix if he and the Twins have a hot September.
August 24, 2008
Despite the best efforts of Justin Morneau, the Twins lost to the Angels by the score of 5-3. Morneau had a single, double and home run in a 3-for-4 day that also included three RBI.

Our View:Morneau's home run was his 20th of the year, and his RBI put him over 100. Fantasy owners would like to see a bit more power out of him, but it's hard to argue with all those runs he has driven in.
August 17, 2008
Minnesota first baseman Justin Morneau added his gifts to the cause this evening, an 11-8 win over the Seattle Mariners. Morneau went 2-for-3 at the plate with two walks and his 19th homer of the season, totaling two RBIs with two runs scored.

Our View:Morneau is hitting just .196 through August, today hitting his first homer of the month.
August 2, 2008
Justin Morneau went 0-for-3 and registered the Twins' lone RBI on a sacrifice fly in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Indians.

Our View:Morneau notched his 87th RBI of the season, with 12 coming over his last seven games.
August 2, 2008
Twins first baseman Justin Morneau has a great match-up tonight when Minnesota takes on the Cleveland Indians and pitcher Paul Byrd. For his career, Morneau is 17-for-40 with seven extra-base hits off the righty.

Our View:Morneau has three home runs against Byrd, and a slugging percentage of .775 off of him. Make sure he is in your lineup and expect big things.
