Chad Paronto has been reassigned to minor league camp by the Astros, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Paronto has been hindered by a strained right shoulder, but was not expected to make the Astros' opening day roster anyway.
March 24, 2009
Reliever Chad Paronto underwent a series of tests on Tuesday, and doctors told him he should be fine after a few days of rest, MLB.com reports. He strained his right shoulder muscle on Monday.

Our View:Paronto has had a sharp spring (2.70 ERA), but he isn't expected to make the final cuts. Still, he shouldn't struggle to find work if he bounces back quickly and continues to throw well over the coming couple of weeks.

Chad Paronto left Monday's game with a right shoulder muscle strain, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View:The 33-year-old vet would only hold value in leagues that feature middle men if he manages to earn a spot in the Astros' bullpen.
July 6, 2008
Chad Paronto had his contract purchased from Triple-A Round Rock and will likely pitch middle relief for the Astros.

Our View:In 42.2 innings he has recorded 45 strikeouts and just nine walks.
December 18, 2007
The Astros inked Chad Paronto to a one-year, $500,000 deal Tuesday. Paronto held a 3.57 ERA in 41 games for the Braves last year.
