Astros' pitcher Chad Paronto is hoping to return to the mound before the end of the season, according to the Houston Chronicle. Paronto left Tuesday's game with a left hamstring strain.

Our View:Paronto said he was sore, but not as bad as he thought it would be. The coaching staff didn't sound vrey optimistic, however, so don't expect to see him again this season. Paronto had an excellent season for the Astros' Triple-A squad, going 2-1 with a 1.39 ERA, and he could help out the Houston bullpen on a regular basis next season.
September 16, 2009
Chad Paronto has been promoted by the Astros from Triple-A Round Rock, according to MLBblogs.com. Billy Sadler was placed on the 60-day DL with right shoulder scapular dyskinesis as the adjoining move.

Our View:Paronto was 2-1 with a 1.39 ERA over 44 relief appearances with Round Rock this season, but is only worth a look for deeper fantasy leagues that feature middle men.
July 30, 2009
Chad Paronto has cleared waivers and will report to Triple-A Round Rock, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View:Paronto has given up six runs in just 2.1 innings of work this season. Expect it to be a while before he is in the big leagues for Houston again.
July 17, 2009
Chad Paronto has had his contract purchased by the Astros, according to team writer Alyson Footer's Twitter page. Paronto will replace the injured Chris Sampson on the roster.

Our View:Paronto is expected to join the team in time for their game on Saturday. He will not have any fantasy value ths season, so no need to concern yourself with his progress.
March 29, 2009
Chad Paronto has been reassigned to minor league camp by the Astros, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Paronto has been hindered by a strained right shoulder, but was not expected to make the Astros' opening day roster anyway.
