Willy Taveras broke an 0-for-32 hitless streak with his first inning single on Tuesday according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Taveras is now batting just .228 on the season and retains no value outside of his steals. He should only be on your team if you are desperate for speed.

Willy Taveras indicated that he is nearly fully recovered from his hamstring injury, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:Chris Dickerson has been performing well in center field as of late, but Taveras will likely push him back to a reserve role at some point this week.

Willy Taveras finally got into a game on Sunday after missing time with a hamstring injury.

Our View:Taveras, who had been out since Wednesday, came into the game as a pinch hitter but stayed in after that and played center field. Feel free to get him back into your lineup from here on out.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Reds hope to have outfielder Willy Taveras available for their weekend series against the Cubs. Taveras has been out with a sore right hamstring.

Our View:Taveras was available to pinch hit last night, but the Reds seems to be playing this one pretty carefully. The hamstring isn't improving much, but expect him to return to the lineup at some point this weekend. The Reds have been decimated by injury, and they will need Taveras to be healthy going forward.

MLB.com reports that centerfielder Willy Taveras was held out of Wednesday's lineup due to a sore hamstring. He's available to pinch-hit and is expected to test the injury again this weekend when the Reds take on the Cubs.

Our View:Taveras is hitting .260 with 12 steals and a .318 OBP. As a leadoff man, the OBP is nearly unacceptable. If he could raise it around 50 points, he could make a significant impact in fantasy leagues due to his ability to steal bases.
