MLB.com reports that Shin-Soo Choo wants to stay in Cleveland long term.

Our View:Choo has emerged as a solid Major League and fantasy outfielder over the past two seasons and will be asked to anchor the Indians lineup this season in the three-hole. He seems to have found a fit he likes and wants to stay there for the foreseeable future, but he has switched agents from Alan Nero, to the soul-crushing Scott Boras. So there's a chance the Indians may not be able to afford him down the road. There's also the unresolved issue of him possibly having to serve in the Korean army. Choo should be a great fantasy outfielder this season, but owners in keeper leagues should get all the facts before signing him for multiple years.

Shin-Soo Choo does not expect to leave Cleveland during the 2011-12 campaigns due to military obligations in his native South Korea, according to MLB.com.

Our View:South Korea requires men to serve two years in the military by the time they turn 30. The outfielder will turn 28 in July, and can get an exemption from the government if he represents his country in the 2010 Asian Games and if they claim the gold medal. He also said he has a secret backup plan if needed.

Shin-Soo Choo went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo homer off John Danks in tonight's 6-1 loss to Chicago at Progressive Field.

Our View:The Indians only mustered three hits in the game, and Choo was their lone source of scoring. Choo crushed a homer in three of his last five games, and is one away from 20 for 2009.

Shin-Soo Choo went 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBI in the Indians' 6-5 loss to the Tigers on Thursday. Choo is hitting .304 on the season.

Our View:Choo has 17 homers and 81 RBI this season, and he has been one of the most reliable hitters for the Tribe this season. With Grady Sizemore out for the season, Choo is the biggest offensive threat in Cleveland's lineup.

Our View:Choo has a hit in five of his last six games, and is batting .318 in September.
