According to the Seattle Times, Ryan Langerhans will get his first start as a Mariner in Thursday's contest against the Yankees.

Our View:Langerhans is starting in left field, but has the arduous task of going against Yankee ace, CC Sabathia. He figures to get the majority of the starts in left with a righty on the mound, but the reason he's going against the lefty (Sabathia) tonight is, the team wanted to get him into big league action as soon as possible. Langerhans may be worth a look in deep AL-only leagues, but nothing more.
June 30, 2009
Ryan Langerhans has been recalled by the Mariners from Triple-A Tacoma, according to the Associated Press. Adrian Beltre was placed on the 15-day DL as the adjoining move.

Our View:Langerhans is solid with his glove, but is a career .233 hitter, and is not likely going to generate much power at pitcher-friendly Safeco Field. He is only worth a look in the deepest of fantasy leagues.
June 28, 2009
According to MASN Sports, the Nationals have traded outfielder Ryan Langerhans to the Mariners for infielder Mike Morse.

Our View:Langerhans has not played in the majors this season, but the Mariners need help with Endy Chavez out for the season. He is excellent defensively and will likely split time in the outfield with Wladimir Balentien. In Triple-A this season Langerhans' line was .278/.371/.488.
December 13, 2008
MLB.com reports that outfielder Ryan Langerhans has signed a minor-league deal with the Washington Nationals.

Our View:Langerhans played 73 games for the team in 2008, hitting .234. He does not possess fantasy value of any kind.
October 15, 2008
Ryan Langerhans was outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday after passing through waivers unclaimed, according to the Associated Press. Levale Speigner also received the same treatment.

Our View:Langerhans hit just .234/380/.396 in 111 AB in 2008 and clearly had no future with the Nationals, and considering he owns a .233 average and .713 OPS in 978 career AB he also has zero fantasy value.
